Animal Care Center of Somerset is dedicated to quality veterinary services in a friendly and welcoming environment. Our highly-qualified staff is proud to serve pet owners and their companions from Somerset, KY and surrounding communities. We combine the latest veterinary technology, such as digital radiography, with our experience in animal healthcare to help your pet live life to the fullest!

Kayla Dickerson Veterinary Assistant

Kayla is a lover of all animals whose menagerie includes 3 dogs (Cerb, Pebbles, and Gemini), 2 cats (Jesus and Nova Jinx), and 3 Kenyan Sand Boas (Jack, Sally, and Medusa). Kayla has been an employee of Animal Care Center for over 6 years, and although she was born in Ashland, KY, she moved to Somerset in 2003. We think of Kayla as our resident expert on snakes, and she loves to go hiking, collect movies, and all things related to music!

JessieVeterinary Assistant

Jessie was born and raised in Somerset, Ky. She graduated from Southwestern High School in 2018, and started Somerset Community College that same year. Trying to gain her pre-vet degree to become a Veterinarian, she transfers to Eastern Kentucky University in January of 2020. In her spare time, she loves to listen to music, watch tv and be around her friends and family. She also loves to be around her three dogs (Poodles Odie, and Gracie, and Boxer Shae), cats (May, Pudden, Tom, and socks), and miniature horse and donkey (Buttercup, Bella, and JackJenny.)

Kayla Whitis Receptionist

Hello, my name is Kayla Whitis! I have recently graduated from Somerset Community College and I am currently enrolled at Eastern Kentucky University to get my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. In my free time I like to spend time with my sidekick, Cooper. We like to watch movies, go on walks, and go on on car rides together.

Julia Hill Receptionist

Julia was born and raised right here in Somerset, KY and is a recent graduate of Southwestern High School.  She is attending Somerset Community College in the pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. In her spare time, Julia loves reading and spending time with her Beagle, Dash and her cat, Pearl.

Hannah King 

Hello, my name is Hannah King. I graduated from Pulaski County High School in 2019. I am wanting to go to college to be a Veterinary Technician. I have three dogs and seven cats. In my free time, I love to travel.

Tyler Frisbie 

My name is Tyler Frisbie. I graduated from Pulaski County High School in 2013. In my free time, I like spending time with my dog Arie. Arie is my little helper and we love to hike and tinker together.


Madison was born in Somerset Kentucky, and graduated from Somerset Christian school in 2017. Madison attended Somerset Community College and took the basic classes to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinary technician. In her spare time Madison enjoys spending time with her family and attending First Apostolic Church. Madison has three dogs Bella a chorkie, Ollie a sheepadoodle, and Oakley a golden doodle puppy. With hopes rescuing another doodle in the future.


I grew up and Somerset but finished school at McCreary Central Highschool (I currently live in Mccreary county). I am currently attending Somerset Community College in order to obtain my Associates in Science degree and from there I am hopeful of attending Veterinary School. I have five cats (Mercy,Ramsey,Joy,Khaleesi,and Pepper) and two bearded dragons (Maui and Owen). These are not my only pets however, I have an array of animals ranging from scales to fur to feathers. I enjoy playing with my pets, listening to music, and practicing makeup.
